Theย Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (PSCPCR)ย was established by the Government of Punjab under Section 17 of theย Commissions for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act, 2005.
The Commission works to ensure that all laws, policies, programmes, and administrative mechanisms are in consonance with the child rights perspective as enshrined in the Constitution of India and also in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), ratified by India in 1992.
PSCPCR operates with a child-centric approach, recognizing children as rights-holders rather than passive recipients of welfare, and engages with government departments, civil society, and communities to advance child rights in Punjab.
